Gingrich probably would have been able to do better, but if the current crop of Republican congressmen was in charge, SpaceX et. al. would have been shut out long ago in favor of more pork for solid rocket booster companies.

"Lie back and enjoy it" really isn't on the table, but "don't worry about the things you can't change" might be decent applicable advice.
