Maybe it's a good idea, even if there is a possible bias supporting it. Reversed stupidity is not intelligence.

Italics mine. I am somewhat tired at the moment, but it was (and is) not immediately apparent to me why the italic'd phrase was used in that particular place. Bringing this up as a data point re: clarity.
