I don't understand the sense in which you're using the word determiner here. It's not how linguists use the word, because for them, the determiner is just the; it's not constructed. It's also not a sense that's explained in the Wikipedia article you linked to.
Sorry, wrong term, I meant a modifier... It's been years since I looked into the basics of English grammar...
