Why are people upvoting a comment that doesn't actually object to anything in this post, and just refers to another post I wrote as "stupid bullshit?"

Perhaps they agree with me?

I honestly didn't want to post any of this, and indeed withheld my objection at first, because I (like Eliezer) think "that's just a clever argument" can quickly become a fully general debating tactic. But it's striking to me how quickly my prediction was, in my view, proven correct, so I thought it was worth drawing attention to.
