I think this is a really good post and extreamly clear. The idea of of the broken care-O-meter is a very compelling metaphor. It might be worthwhile to try to put this somewhere higher exposure where people who have money and are not allready familiar with the LW memeplex would see it
I'm open to circulating it elsewhere. Any ideas? I've crossposted it on the EA forum, but right now that seems like lower exposure than LW.
Submitting things to reddit/metafilter/etc. can work surprisingly well.
I'm slightly averse to submitting my own content on reddit, but you (John_Maxwell_IV, to combat the bystander effect, unless you decline) are encouraged to do so.
My preference would be for the Minding Our Way version over the EA forum version over the LW version.
No ideas here, but maybe ping David, Jeff or Julia?
