Presumably if you have browsing history stored on your computer you could have an indicator if a web address had been accessed before? (Presumably using the same function that makes links blue/purple.)

I have several computers, as most people do. The user should trigger this history, not the computer.

Chrome Sync will sync your history across devices. I am skeptical that most people have several computers.
