So you're saying there's a mass up-voter lurking out there? :) (If so I may have been the object of their efforts too.)
See the last open thread - several people (including me) have been victims of a mysterious mass upvoter who has gone through everything we've posted in the last month or so adding +1s indiscriminately up to about +30 to +40.
Personally I suspect it is a psychological experiment, examining the difference in reaction between this mysterious mass upvoter and the recent mysterious mass downvoter. Or, yknow, a troll.
Or someone who read one of your comments, like it, and then read others and liked them as well.
I was thinking more mod/admin efforts. I've never apparently been the victim of mass-downvotes, but if there was an intervention to remove all downvotes made by a troublesome user, the sudden removal of all their cumulative downvotes over time might look like an unexpected karma boost.
