Throwing hardware at a person doesn't keep his personality stable.
Cf. the old adage: Power corrupts. Thinking 1000x faster than everyone around you is one variety of power.
You mean something along the lines of what is a moment of self-doubt running on a slow brain, becomes an immediate tailspin into suicidal depression when running on the Blue Gene?
It's a lot more complicated than just switching from slow to fast.
