How to gather like-minded enthusiasts together?

How do you go about finding people who share your goals and are willing to cooperate with you on working to attain those goals? I haven't been very successful with this so far. It seems that there should be thousands of people around the world who think like me yet I've only been able to find a few.

and are willing to cooperate with you

Try looking for people you are willing to cooperate with.

the question is quite general. Can you be more specific about what steps you have taken so far and exactly where you are being held up?

Depends very much on the goal. For some goals it's "start a company". For others it might be: "Start a local LW meetup"

Given your LW presence, you don't use your real life name. You don't have the country and city in which you live in your profile. That makes it harder for people to find you. Finding other people is a lot easier if you are open about who you are instead of hiding.
