I definitely didn't get it the first time I read it, but currently I think it's quite good. Maybe it's written in a way that's confusing if you don't already know the punchline (or maybe metaethics confuses people).
I know the punchline - CEV. To me, it seemed to belabour points that felt obvious to me, while skipping over, or treating as obvious, points that are really confusing.
Regardless of whether CEV is the correct ethical system, it seems to me that CEV or CV is a reasonably good schelling point, so that could be a good argument to accept it on pragmatic grounds.
If it's worth saying, but not worth its own post (even in Discussion), then it goes here.
