IlyaShpitser is really good at calling out people who are using bayes etc. as applause lights. It's valuable and entertaining.
It may not seem so, but I actually enjoy debating Lumifer. He never fails to show me where I'm wrong.
that's a really good one. Lumifer is wonderful!
Vaniver and FrameBeningly answer my questions in an understandable and friendly way. (Other people do, too, I just have an easier time deciding to PM those two.) I also pattern-match them to a couple of very good friends in RL, which is why 1) I don't think your formulation is really meaningful, 2) I want them to know, if they are reading this, that I might go to greater lengths in helping them than is rationally expected considering we've never met.
