TL;DR: We may need to learn to guess at the nature of that outside and beyond the observable universe to better negotiate a convergent aggreement/inverted pyramid scheme by which living things may bleed upwards across the complexity heirarchy of nested (simulated) universes to leverage computational resources vaster and longer lasting than anything we could build in our home universes.
