I found it by simply searching for "metformin aging" (which was not the first search I tried). This says that the two names are the same study.

Lemire is wrong. TAME and MILES are different. MILES is intended to just examine short-term responses (look at the registered endpoints: "Primary: Gene expression. (changes in gene expression in muscle and adipose tissue with RNA Sequencing (RNA-Seq) [ Time Frame: 12 weeks treatment ]"); TAME is intended to be a long-term 5+-year study looking for reduction in cancer and heart disease. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02432287 is MILES, and TAME is AFAIK not yet registered on clinicaltrials.gov because they were working on approval & fu...
