I actually agree with the statement (in most states). However, the conclusion is wrong and there's not enough text for me to know why the author comes to this conclusion.
Voting for a disliked candidate is dominated by not voting at all, or voting for a liked candidate that cannot win. For myself, Gary Johnson is that candidate.
If there's such a small chance of your vote making a difference in the election, you should be comfortable voting for trump.
