Talk:Utilitronium

"For a Classic Utilitarian, one of the most likely forms of Utilitronium is computronium that is being used to simulate minds experiencing the highest form of pleasure possible for a mind to experience."

"classic utilitarian"? Sounds like hedonistic orgasmium. But more importantly, citation needed - original claims shouldn't go to the wiki.

You're right. I should have noticed that. For now I just deleted that sentence. Also, the articles "hedonium" and "orgasmium" redirect to this page. --PeerInfinity 02:57, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Also, please don't leave clutter in the articles - even if an article is a stub, it should be a "release" version. If there is a comment to be made on an article, it can be made on the discussion page. --Vladimir Nesov 19:06, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

ok, I'll remove the clutter. --PeerInfinity 02:57, 9 June 2010 (UTC)

Utilitronium shockwave is a process of converting all matter in the universe into utilitronium as quickly as possible, which would look like a shockwave of utilitronium spreading outwards from the point of origin, presumably nearly at the speed of light.

Similar toUtilitronium is relatively homogeneous matter optimized for maximum utility (like computronium, but instead of the matter being is optimized for maximum computing power, it is optimized for maximum utility.power). For a paperclip maximizer, Utilitroniumutilitronium is paperclips. For more complex values, no homogeneous organization of matter will have optimal utility.

(this isn't on wikipedia, and isn't easily googlable, but the concept is mentioned in some LW comments)
