Our lack of proper preparedness and response for COVID-19 appears to be a prime example of absurdity bias in the modern day on a larger scale. I wonder if there exist cycles in history by which, after some number of generations, an event is deemed by the masses absurd even when from a bird's-eye view its occurrence appears to be relatively consistent?
