Just a thought I had the other day; what do you think that the political ideas of conservatism have to do with cognitive bias? I mean, how much are people willing to change naturally, without arguing any points?
I know very little about all of these things, so forgive me if this is a silly thought.

In addition to "discussing politics is dangerous, because it usually leads to non-rationality", this is what I consider problematic in this specific article:
First, I have no idea what exactly are you talking about. The word "conservatism" means different things in different countries, and probably also different things to many people within the same country.
