You can reduce a brain to atoms, and a mind to bits?

I've noticed that the study hall currently has a security problem - It is possible to view the link to the intro document (which contains the password) before entering the password for the room. We just had a confused tinychat user wander in, and I would guess that's how.

I suggest removing the password from the intro document and putting it in one of the lesswrong posts instead. Dealing with random tinychat users is distracting.

I wouldn't call that a problem. This way if you just stumble there you have the most important information. And also the link to the second room in case the first one is broken. Random tinychat users are so rare that I think this way has more utility.

I will try to make it if I am not too busy at work!

Umm... how do I use the red button on a mobile device? (I also have this problem with xkcd.)

You just press it. It also works with karma scores on LW to see the percentage of positive votes (at least on Android). I didn't know how to read title texts on xkcd until reading TobyBartels's comment, though.

I know that you crossed this out, but the answer to the parenthetical implied question is this: Use the xkcd viewer app. * Android (used by me regularly on my Android phone) * Apple (never used by me because I don't have an Apple product)

How will people recognise you?

Good question, I have spikey hair and I usually have a black The North Face jacket with me. If it's raining I'll have a green umbrella with me.

Well, that was a fun way to spend my Saturday. I haven't had a fanfic monopolize my time this much since Friendship Is Optimal.

Best part so far:

"This is ridiculous," Milo muttered to Hermione, his chess partner. "Skill Ranks in Profession (Chessmaster) have no bearing on one's ability to stomp squishy wizards."

"See, the thing is," Hermione said, "I know what all of those words mean in and of themselves, but the way you string them together... it's like someone handed a book of Mad Libs to a Confunded Troll."

Oh dear, I cannot stop gazing. It's actually quite a fun read so far, although it seems more like a sloppy first draft than a polished novel. I guess that's to be expected given the lack of editors in fanfic - I've clearly been spoiled by HPMOR and Luminosity.

I confess I rather enjoyed the part where Snape's head exploded. There's a certain window of "So bad it's good" in there, before you get to the "So bad it's horrible". As I said in another comment, it's not bad at the start.
