Thanks for the article. I was particularly interested to hear your vaccine side-effects. I have been having the same response - chest congestion - for the last couple of months. I've not been able to find much information on this subject as the web is full of covid conspiracy theories rather than good science. The CDC and WHO list no chronic side effects. Have you been able to find any good information on this? Which vaccine did you have?

When I went to urgent care over this they said they were seeing a lot of people with post-vaccine complaints (no denominator, obviously) and kept being surprised I didn't have fatigue. I think they also expected brain fog but am less certain of that. I haven't looked very actively for more because the signal: noise ratio is so bad. My doctor gave me a glutathione nebulizer and I went on a vitamin stack I'll be writing up at my blog  soon (and will probably make its way to LessWrong) and have talked about a little on twitter already. I had Pfizer, with typical scheduling.

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Is from Nietzsche (well before Clarkson or Kanye)

Nietzsche had a complete and severe mental breakdown that didn't kill him, but left him institutionalised; then he had several strokes, which didn't kill him, but left him unable to talk or walk. Kinda demonstrates that there is something off with the idea.

Fun fact, Hillary Clinton's autobiography quoted Clarkson quoting Nietzsche.
