Why would you suddenly give an argument against treating bible as the source of moral wisdom? This paragraph weakens the post.
You're right. It made sense in the larger context I originally gave the post. I should have removed it. I understand there is a norm against heavy edits to top level posts- should I just leave it?
I'd prefer you removing it. It doesn't alter the message of the post itself, rather it's the odd part out.
