There's simply more territory than our maps can encompass. If you want to get anything done, there comes a point when you have to act on information that's not ideally complete. What's more, you aren't going to have complete information about when to stop searching.
Any recommendations for discussions of this problem?
"Effective altruism" is at risk of turning into a signal, though perhaps not quite as quickly are "rationality" or "truth-seeking".
