I had a conversation about this with many rationalists, including CFAR's people, and there hasn't been many efforts or discussion of said efforts. Here's probably the most widely-known example, and Liron is currently on our Advisory Board, though he'll be stepping off soon due to time limitations while still providing informal advice.
