After discussing ~3 essays by Scott per month for multiple years, our group has branched out into adjacent topics, and in May we will be discussing 'A Mathematical Theory of Communication' by Claude Shannon. I know Scott is sceptical of "assigning" readings, but we have a great setup – often with special guests and 'field trips' around the city – and I encourage people to email and join the community. :)
