A story in today's news about COVID-19 and Iran got me wondering about the impact of such events on more centralized and totalitarian type government. Does anyone know of investigation into or theory about how an outbreak such as COVID-19, particularly if it takes the worst case path, might move people living under such regimes either further down that path or away (even to the point of revolution)?
