Philosophy as Hawking controversial view misquoting Wittgenstein that philosophy couldn't catch up to science and is left to study language is discussed in The Institute of Art and Ideas' debate Full Debate | Lewis Wolpert, Steve Fuller, Jonathon Derbyshire

Reminding me that philosophy was the first ever self help book (the Bible count as one too) because it helps clarify, as the Steve Fuller point in the video. Lewis Wolpert misunderstanding is because of pure scientific faith. But it also reminds me of Carl Sagan's A demon haunted world and how we shouldn't misrepresent science anyways.

The debate is worth watching and thought provoking.
