I am working on a talk in which I will try to present the strongest possible case that, by the lights of some plausible and widely accepted scientific theory (or theories) of consciousness [1], some current AI system is phenomenally conscious.

I am curious what work like this, if any, already exists.

I am aware of many pieces on the possibility of AI consciousness in general, or on the importance of AI sentience and possible moral patienthood. But I am curious who has given a detailed argument concerning an existing system or systems.

[1] Examples would include: global workspace theory, attention schema theory, self-model approaches, or higher order theories.
