Hey there! Is there an easy way to figure out what latex formulas are not being shown in a post (ie the ones that contain errors)?

Cheers!

Run the source through a latex validation service? Something easier than that, like a browser plug in, might not exist yet.

I was mainly wondering since the webpage must run the latex code and throw an error if it decides an expression is malformed (and then not show the output), whether it would be easy to see the fact there was an error?

Hmm, I think it depends a bit. Do you have a link to a post in which there is LaTeX that displays properly in the editor, and doesn't display properly in the post?

I just use plain markdown, so it's not always clear whether the expression works or not.

Oh, I see, you use the markdown editor.

In that case, I don't think there is currently an easy way to preview it. I will add an issue to our GitHub and see whether I can get around to that soon. Seems good to throw an error when you try to save a post with invalid LaTeX.

Or a warning, rather than an error.
