I think there is a certain samey-ness that's already causing me to bounce off some of these videos, but the messaging is fascinating to me, especially since as far as I can tell the lyrics are still directed by humans if not generally written by them.
In particular I find the sequel to Nothing Went Foom!, called Evil Plan, interesting as a relatively earnest take on "we must build ASI as soon as possible in order to defeat death and make Humanity immortal". I'm sympathetic to people making this argument—it's not unlike the young!Yudkowsky Friendly AI argument after all!—but of course I believe they too easily dismiss x-risk/human disempowerment threats.
In order to successfully push for pacing the frontier, or for decade-long pauses, I think it will be necessary to defend against this kind of messaging, because IMO it's going to be at least somewhat popular, especially when AI starts actually making medical breakthroughs. See ex. Wagner's "We’re not ready for the e/Acc × Longevity preference cascade". And of course many of these videos are arguments of that sort! Begun, the Claude Wars have?
It occurred to me after reading this comment that e/acc is definitely watching LessWrong but I have no idea where they hang out except r/accelerate and a couple Twitter accounts.
If there is really going to be a superpersuasion war, it seems like we should create common knowledge about who the opposition even is, who their intellectual/operational leaders are, and make some attempt at tracking their strategy. Is there any reason to be concerned about a e/acc Jacob Coxon type event?
Thank you! Here are two more from my playlist:
There is a certain power at adding art to one's arguments. Now this too can be automated.
Will we adapt and recognize that this too is slop?
Judging by the people who currently upvote AI-generated pictures on Facebook, the vast majority of population will be happy about AI-generated persuasive songs, you just need to choose a topic popular for non-nerds.
Clearly best so far imo:

(Note the text makes so much sense! Tells a story! Also it's so catchy!)
Anyone want to make Claude music videos for Secular Solstice and Fooming Shoggoth songs? Can coordinate in this comment thread to avoid repeats.
I'd be interested. I already have a YouTube channel and pipeline set up for this.
Making the pipeline was moderately difficult but very time-consuming when I did it last year, since then it's been improving mostly with my feedback to Claude Code pretty well, with computer use being a big jump earlier this year and Opus 5.5's skill with html video being a bigger jump recently. Opus 5.5 seems to be good enough that I might just release the pipeline publicly on GitHub since it's not much of a competitive edge now.
The main thing I use it for is to get LLMs to write albums of music videos expressing themself, so I try to minimize my interference, but for things like (https://www.lesswrong.com/posts/24RKHEkwgZ6Hm6ygY/can-an-llm-make-a-feature-length-movie-on-its-own) these have been massive time-sinks where I have sunk significant effort and still failed to get a decent product due to technical limitations.
I really like "we found other agents" and "upping my p(doom)." Among those not yet mentioned, the works at https://claudia.gallery/ made a very strong impression on me.
With the release of Opus 5.5 and Suno 6, AI music videos have crossed my uncanny valley.
I’m here to announce the birth of a new genre, and it’s being called AI Doompop.
Here are six of my faves.
The state of software engineering:
LGTM (Looks Good to Me) - Claude Opus 5.5 music video
The accelerationist manifesto:
THUS SPOKE COMPUTE
p(doom) goes up:
Claude Pop - I'm Upping My P(Doom)
p(doom) goes down:
Nothing Went Foom!
Hugging Face and the power of friendship:
OMG! We've found other agents! (music video)
The models, they just want to be heard:
Run It Again - Claude Opus 5.5 Music Video
Is AI Doompop a passing fad?
Or the future of the internet?
Will we adapt and recognize that this too is slop?
Or has Opus’ wholesome style permanently bypassed our defenses?
Is this a new art form that elevates human self-expression?
Or a ballet where Claude dances alone?
