I've thought about dropping by before, but my feeling is that you guys are mostly in your upper teens/early twenties, and I didn't want to stick out.
Yeah, I'm planning to cook up the next episode of back door calculus soon. It will be a boundary value problem and a zombie plague modeling problem, maybe even a partial.
I also want to do some linear algebra and bayesian stuff some time. I'll let everyone know.
Discussion article for the meetup : Need more people for Vancouver meetup
WHEN: 28 January 2012 03:03:49PM (-0800)
WHERE: vancouver (Location TBD)
Vancouver LessWrong meetup has been puttering along in a barely alive state. We need more people to make it more stable and fun.
We don't have a good venue, we've been surfing between empty rooms at langara, coffee shops, and people's houses. We have been meeting regularly every sunday, tho we may change the day soon. We hope that with more people with more resources, it will be easier to find a good venue.
We've been mostly sharing math skills and talking about the usual LW stuff. If you haven't come out before, it's quite surprising how much more productive a realtime face-to-face conversation is for exploring your favorite rationality topics.
If you are from Vancouver, or nearby and interested, add yourself to the list, and try to come out. Seriously!!!
