To me the voices (especially the main voice) on the podcast sound like they're depressed / they can't wait to be done with this podcast narration thing. Is there any way to "cheer them up" ? For refference the type3.audio narration on posts seems to have a good tone to it.
I've been following Zvi's coverage on SB 1047 and I don't think I have a good understanding of why large companies like OpenAI and Meta are so against it. I don't understand why they would spend so much capital to even get Nanci Pelosi to oppose it. I can't find a good source for describing their opposition. Obviously we can't trust what the companies themselves are saying because as Zvi has pointed out they're mostly distorting the facts or making bogus claims.
But beyond the public PR there probably still are actual reasons why they oppose it so strongly - my assumption is that:

AFAIK the only info about the (lack of) release of o3 comes from this tweet - and it does seem like o3 will be available explicitly via the API.
I think it's what you say - pricing causing bad PR. It seems that even for pro users, if you use o1 pro too much they will silently switch you to using o3 mini without telling you even if you select o1 pro.
So I think they want to continue doing this while not looking so bad doing it.
