Thank you for initiating this grant opportunity. I submitted my application, focusing on conducting wastewater surveillance in an area lacking a centralized wastewater system, such as Nigeria. Similar to many other applicants, I received a communication from the grantmakers on July 29, 2023.
"This email is going out to everyone who checked the “Allow venture grants and also evaluate grant as part of current round” option on your Lightspeed Grants application (over 200 people).
Since the full evaluation round is wrapping up within the next 2-3 weeks, the time for venture granting is now over, and if you get a grant, it will now be as part of the full grant evaluation round. My best is that you'll get an email on August 14th about a final grant decision, and money will go out by end of August"
It has now been several months, and I have not received any notification regarding the acceptance or rejection of my proposal. My assumption is that it might have been rejected. I am uncertain whether this silence is an oversight.
