Dear members of Less Wrong, this is my very first contribution to your society and I hope that you might help me to get out of my confusion.
Back a few months ago, I tested for the first time a video game created by Croteam Studio which is called 'The Talos Principle'.
At the time, i was astonished by all the philosophical questions that the game was rising. It has kinda changed the way I see the world now, also the way I see myself.
I wanted to share my thoughts with you on the subject of 'What does being a Human mean ?'

"They're probably not worth having anyway"
This quote makes me feel uncomfortable. As a young adult i'm asking myself.
When someone is about to be a parent (I think this question stick more to a man than a woman, considering the empathic link that's been biologicaly created between a child and his mother) is he really asking himself: Will they worth it ?
I mean, being a parent is a serious challenge, but a the dawn of "parenthood", are we going to ask ourself if we are ready to face this challenge ? Or if the child will worth it ?
Because to my mind, there's a huge gap between them. But i wonder how... (read more)
May i ask you a question ?
Trying to be as close to the truth as possible (Whatever the subject is) requires to see from almost every points of views that exists for this subject right ? Even the wrong one...
So if we want to find the truth we need to pass through the "wrong thoughts" , can we still call that doing a mistake to consider a wrong thoughts if it's necessary to end up being close to the truth ?
This question might be weird but , i'd be glad to have your answer :)
