Has anybody actually followed through on Louie's post about optimal employment (i.e. worked a hospitality job in Australia on a work visa)? How did you go about it? Did you just go there without a job lined up like he suggests? That seems risky. And even if you get a job, what if you get fired after a couple of weeks?

I really like the idea, but I'd also like a few more data points.
