Also, someone could explain why Star Trek, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica or Buffy is worth my while.

Not without knowing you well enough. Sherlock, on the other hand should suit you just fine.

Ah, yes, thank you. I have seen Sherlock and loved it. Too few episodes though! =)
