I'm hoping to get a semi-regular reading group going in the St. Paul area. The basic format is: I post a couple medium-length articles, then we discuss those articles at the meetup for however long we feel like it!
The articles for the first such meetup are based around nutrition science controversies: stuff like "do we think ice cream is bad for us? Why? Do any of us really know anything?"
We'll be meeting at Davanni's Pizza. I'll be ordering vegetarian pizza, vegan salad, and non-vegetarian pizza for the group.
I'll send updates and schedule new such events via Discord (which I'm also interested in getting off the ground since Discord is, generally, just a very nice system for building a local community hub)
